Do It Yourself

We really encourage people to make their own music.  However, not everybody is capable of doing so.  Here's where we come in.  Make your own radio show using other peoples music to let everyone know how great your taste in music is.  How do you do it you ask?  Well, there are several ways to go about creating your own online radio show, but this seems to be the easiest:

1)  Buy a USB microphone for your computer.  These should only cost you around  $10-$15.
Logitech is a good brand.

2)  Download Audacity and don't forget to also download the LAME MP3 encoder, you'll need it.  This program simply rules.  You can directly import MP3 files (Project tab) such as your favorite songs with ease.

3)  Plug in your microphone and hit the red button at the top of Audacity to start recording your voice.

4)  Play around in Audacity to make sure none of your recordings overlap, etc. by using the slider tool at the top left corner.  The Effect menu also houses some tasty treats that you can use once you have highlighted a section of a track.

5)  When your show is complete, go to Project > Edit ID3 tags.  These tags let people know what the show is called, what type of music it is, etc.

6)  Finally, go to File > Export as MP3.  Audacity will then ask you where that LAME MP3 encoder is located (the one that you downloaded with Audacity in the first place).  Locate the file and sit back and relax while your show is being created.

7)  Send* the MP3 to us and we will most likely post it on our site.  Or you could just stick it on your dildo with headphones for self enjoyment.  Your choice. * If the file is too big for email, try using a service such as YouSendIt to get it to us.  If you still have issues, contact us for a mailing address.
